Worship Leader Boot Camp

This intense one-day training event will set the foundations for biblical worship and dig deeply into learning how to plan and implement worship in the local church that honors God and draws His people to Him each week. Churches desiring to transition to a more blended or contemporary style of worship will be well-equipped to lead their congregations with excellence in a way that honors God and leads His people to worship. The boot camps will have a worship team and band present for demonstration and modeling of the concepts presented. These events target worship leaders in the church — full-time, part-time, bivocational and volunteers. It will be very helpful for entire worship teams to attend the event, so there will be unity in the understanding of worship and the vision for worship ministry in a team's local church.

Cost (includes conference materials and lunch):
      •  1-4 from a single church, $22 each
      •  5 or more from a single church, $18 each

Both the Minister of Music Retooling Retreat and Worship Leader Boot Camp are built around the following topics:

  • Theology of Worship – focusing on biblical foundations
  • Leadership of Worship - what it means to be a leader and how to improve as a worship leader
  • Songs for Worship - how do you properly select music for your congregation?
  • Formats of Worship - a look at varying worship styles
  • Mechanics of Worship –linking songs, key relationships, thematic considerations, worship flow, making a plan, use of instrumentalists
  • The Practice of Corporate Worship - practical insights to help all team members, from musician to tech team

What People Are Saying about the Worship Leader Boot Camp

The following quotes come from participants of previous Worship Leader Boot Camps offered in NC and Southeast Asia.

"The Worship Leader Boot Camp was a great time of coming together with others who share the same passion of pursuing the most meaningful thing in life — worship of our Creator. I would recommend this training to anyone who seriously desires not only personal growth, but whose passion is to lead others into God's presence."

"Training materials used in the Worship Leader Boot Camp are phenomenal! Sometimes, the congregation may take for granted what happens in the worship service — if they only knew how much planning and preparation took place beforehand! These materials teach and guide you through every aspect of worship, from understanding what worship is to 'evoking' worship in your church."

"Boot Camp is really valuable for gaining hands-on experience in combining the various elements needed for effective worship. The Worship Leader Handbook is an outstanding resource for anyone planning worship for any setting."
